What size does my image need to be for direct posting to Instagram?

For image published directly to Instagram, Instagram requires that the image's aspect ratio be within 1.91:1 and 4:5.

They will be automatically cropped if the image's aspect ratio are not within the 1.91:1 and 4:5 range.
