Post approvals - Can I send posts for approval to a client?

Yes, you can send posts for approval to a client in OneUp.

There are 2 ways:

Client is not a team member on your account - Create post for approval, then send the client a shareable calendar link where they can approve or reject.
Client is a team member on your account - Create post for approval, and team member will get email notification about a post awaiting approval.
NOTE: For option 2, make sure to grant "Approve or Reject posts" permission:

Let's dive deeper into the 2 options:

Client is not a team member on your account

First create a post and toggle on the "Require post approval" option:

Next, go to the Calendar and create a shareable calendar link.
With OneUp's shareable calendar link, anyone with the link can approve ✅ or reject ❌ posts (and leave comments on posts):

When a client opens up the shareable calendar link, they will see "Needs approval" on any posts that are awaing approval:

Then the client can click the post to Approve or Reject, and/or leave a comment:

If the client approves or rejects the post (or leaves a comment), you as the admin will receive an email notification:

You can then reply back to the comments from clients, and they will get an email notification about the comment:

Now for the other option:

Client is a team member on your account

If the client IS a team member on your account, you'll want to make sure they have the "Approve or Reject" permission:

When creating a post, if you toggle on "Require post approval" you will see a list of team members to choose from (you can select multiple team members at a time if you wish to send for approval to multiple people):

Whoever you select will receive an email notification letting them know there is a post awaiting approval.

The team member can see all posts that need approval in the "Awaiting Approval" folder of the Queue, where they can Approve or Reject, and/or leave a comment on the post:

Or you can approve or reject posts from the Calendar:

Posts that are rejected get moved to the "Not Approved" folder.

Posts that do not get approved or rejected before the scheduled date of the post get moved to the "Expired Approval" folder
