Link posts on X

Due to changes from X’s API, posts to X with a link in the posts are only supported if you have purchased an “X link post” add-on.

Without the “X link post” add-on, any X posts with a link in it will have the link removed from the post

Why?

X now charges all API users (including OneUp) $0.20 per published link post.

The economics of this make it impossible for us to continue supporting link posts to X without charging an add-on fee.

You can purchase the "X link post" add-on amount in increments of $50/month

Example:

If you publish 250 link posts per month, it would be an additional $50/month add-on

If you publish 500 link posts per month, it would be an additional $100/month add-on

If you publish 750 link posts per month, it would be an additional $150/month add-on

Please reach out to us on the chat if you'd like to purchase an add-on.

Workarounds:

  1. Put links in your X bio, similar to how people do on Instagram, and then add "Check link in bio" to your posts.

If you have too many links to fit in your X bio, you can use a Linktree or other link-in-bio tools.

  1. Describe your link as "link dot com" rather than putting the actual link in the post. For example, Techmeme puts "Visit Techmeme dot com" in their posts now:
