Location not found for Instagram or Facebook post?

Meta's API may not show the location you want to tag, especially if there's no Facebook Page associated with the location.

Here is the workaround for both Instagram and Facebook locations:

Go to https://www.facebook.com/places/ and search for the location you want to tag.


Then copy the numerical ID that shows at the end of this URL:





Then paste the ID into the location search and it should show the location:





This workaround works for both Instagram locations and Facebook locations ✅
