# Location not found for Instagram or Facebook post?

Meta's API may not show the location you want to tag, especially if there's no Facebook Page associated with the location.


###### Here is the workaround for both Instagram and Facebook locations:

Go to https://www.facebook.com/places/ and search for the location you want to tag.


Then copy the numerical ID that shows at the end of this URL:

Then paste the ID into the location search and it should show the location:

This workaround works for both Instagram locations and Facebook locations ✅
